F.A.Q's
Can parents stay and watch?
We try to limit distractions at camp and recommend that parents say good bye at drop off in the morning to help with the camp transition, especially for our younger campers. That being said, parents are of course welcome to come and watch during the day.
Do the campers play together regardless of age?
We have many group exercises that include our camp as a whole. That being said, campers are split up according to age groups and skill levels (the Ragazzi groups and the Allievi groups!)
Does my child need to bring their own baseball equipment?
We recommend that each camper brings their own: footwear (rubber cleats, sneakers, or turf shoes), batting helmet, glove, sunscreen, hat and water bottle. OPTIONAL: Bat, towel.
(No metal spikes allowed)
If your child does not have one of the items listed above, reach out to us and we can do our best to accommodate you with our group equipment.
Is lunch provided?
Lunch is not provided and campers are expected to bring their own. We do recommend bringing a snack as there will be a short break during the day.
ALSO, we will do a pizza party for lunch one day of camp, normally the last Friday.
Is the staff First Aid/CPR certified?
Yes! The staff takes the safety of their campers very seriously. All the staff have their First Aid and CPR training updated every two years.
Is there an AED on site?
Yes.
What ages do we accept at camp?
Our camp is designed for boys and girls going into Grades 2 through 8.
What does drop-off and pick-up look like?
DROP-OFF: Camp starts at 9AM and drop-off begins at 8:45. There will be cones lined up to designate drop-ff area. Staff will be lined up welcoming campers.
PICK-UP: We will bring campers to the same area as drop-off at 1PM.
What happens if it rains?
If the baseball gods are not on our side for a certain day, depending on severity, we will continue camp outside.
If it thunderstorms or rains hard, we will go to the Rec Center... a close walk from the Silver Lake Park.
Will water be provided?
Yes. We have water jugs located across the grounds and we check them regularly. Campers should bring their own water bottles when we take our many refill breaks.
If a camper does not have a water bottle, we have disposable cups.
